Inaugural Concert of Plainfield's Carillon

Families, children, and ALL ARE WELCOME!

Come, celebrate the completion of Plainfield UMC's carillon, the newest of less than 200 carillons in all of North America! The carillon was completed just before Easter 2014, 107 years after the first ten bells were installed.

International carillonneur from St. Joseph's Oratory in Montreal, Quebec, Andrée-Anne Doane, is concluding her tour of Chicago in Plainfield after playing the carillons in Naperville, the University of Chicago, and the Chicago Botanic Garden. Ms. Doane has arranged several musical pieces for Plainfield's carillon from Bach to Stephen Foster.

Chicago St. between Illinois & Des Plaines will be closed for concertgoers' outdoor seating. Tables and chairs will be available. Bring your own folding lawn chair for your personal comfort.

Indoor listening with video feed will also be available.

Bubbles, sidewalk chalk, etc. will be available for children.
