Movie Night! - "Courageous"

The Evangelism Committee of Peace Lutheran Church cordially invites you to a night out at the movies at Peace Theater!

Courageous is a film that examines faith, commitment, and the preciousness of life.  Made by the same filmmakers as Fireproof, this movie is nuanced, sophisticated and well acted.  Rated PG-13 for adult themes, some violence and drug content, please note that a death takes place in the movie (off-screen) and may be disturbing for small children.

The film focuses on four men who are police officers and fathers faced with a challenge none of them are truly prepared to tackle: Fatherhood.  When tragedy strikes, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, fears, faith and fathering.

Can a newfound urgency help them draw closer to God...and to their children?
Protecting the streets is second nature to these men.  Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That's Courageous.

Come see what it's all about on Saturday, June 7th.  Join us for worship at 5:30pm and stick around afterwards or join us at 6:30pm in the narthex for popcorn and concessions before the movie.  Doors to the theater will open at 7:00pm. The movie running time is 129 minutes.

This event is free and open to the community!  We hope to see you on June 7th!
