Culver's Superhero Night Benefits Plainfield Police Explorers

Kids 12 and under are invited to dress as their favorite superheroes at the April 28 event.

Kids ages 12 and under are invited to dress and their favorite superheroes for an April 28 event at Culver's, located at the corner of Route 59 and 135th Street, to benefit the Plainfield Law Enforcement Explorers Group.

Monday is National Superhero Day, and from 5 to 8 p.m., Culver's will donate a portion of their sales to the Plainfield Explorers group.

The Explorers offers training tools to individuals who want to pursue a career in law enforcement.

"We are so excited to be working with the Plainfield Police to raise funds for such a positive, essential organization in our community," said Chrissy McCroskey, Event Coordinator at Plainfield Culver's. "We hope that guests come out to enjoy this family friendly event full of fun things for kids to see and do, all while raising funds for a group that empowers our youth."

Kids who come dressed as a superhero will get a 99-cent kids meal with a Value Basket purchase.

Patrons can check out Plainfield police vehicles during the event, including the DARE Dodge Viper. Uniformed officers will also be volunteering at the restaurant as celebrity guest attendants, so kids can enjoy being served by local law enforcement.
