Donation Drive Honors Slain Plainfield Mom-To-Be

Baby items are being collected in memory of Alisha Bromfield, and will benefit a local expectant mother.

The Joliet Juniorettes Club is keeping the legacy of Alisha Bromfield alive while helping another expectant mother.

Now through Nov. 15, the organization is collecting baby items to benefit Taylor Webb, a young mom-to-be. The drive is sponsored in honor of Bromfield and her unborn daughter, Ava Lucille.

The is the second year the club is conducting the drive in memory of Bromfield, 21, who was killed in August 2012. Bromfield was a Plainfield resident and graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy.

Baby items that are needed include:

  • Diapers
  • Onesies
  • Bibs
  • Wipes
  • Pacifiers
  • Blankets
  • Bottles
  • Baby Socks
  • Clothes (0-24 months)
  • New baby items and gift cards greatly appreciated
Donations can be dropped off now through Nov. 15 at Kuhar Vision Care, 4970 W. Theodore St. in Plainfield (open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday); or Edward Jones Investments (Paul Kalafut), 1132 W. Jefferson St., Shorewood (open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday).
