The Plainfield Fire Protection District will hold its annual Turkey Raffle at 7 p.m. Saturday the downtown Plainfield location, 15025 S. Des Plaines St.
The raffle is a fundraiser for the firefighters association and the funds raised go to various charitable organizations throughout the year, including Fill the Boot for Burn Camp and the Salvation Army. A portion of the funds raised also go to the firefighter association’s annual operating expenses.
The event is free and raffle tickets are 25 cents for a regular turkey and 50 cents for a super turkey or ham.

Throughout the evening, tickets are sold in series. For each series, the “raffle wheel” is spun and the winning ticket holder receives their turkey or ham respectively.
