Help 'Feed the Future' with Plainfield Pantry Food Drive

Donations are being accepted now through Sept. 30 at American Family Insurance - Nick Diorio Agency.

Two Plainfield businesses are teaming up in the fight against childhood hunger by collecting non-perishable food donations and other essentials now through Sept. 30.

American Family Insurance - Nick Diorio Agency is collecting items as part of a "Food the Future" food drive for the Plainfield Area Interfaith Food Pantry. Everyone who drops off donations at the agency, 15515 S. Route 59, will receive a free $4 coupon to Armand's Pizzeria, located next door.

Donations can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Sept. 30. Diorio said all non-perishable, non-expired items are welcome, but the pantry is especially in need of:

  • Toilet paper
  • Garbage bags
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Rice and rice meals
  • Jelly
  • Jell-o
  • Soup
For more information on the food drive, call 815-436-7474.

The Plainfield Interfaith Food Pantry serves families within the Plainfield School District 202 boundaries.
