Making A Difference

With winter in full force yet again, it's easy to forget that there are families less fortunate than ourselves. Your local Goddard School in Plainfield (5005 West Theodore Street) is always committed to helping our communities of Joliet, Shorewood, Crest Hill, Plainfield and beyond.

That's why our Shorewood preschool teachers are always on the lookout for great organizations to partner with.

Last Saturday, a group of our educators, including owners Karen & Rundy Wells, attended the annual Shorewood H.U.G.S. Chocolate ball. H.U.G.S. Is a dedicated group of community members that hold various events, fundraisers, and auctions to assist those in need of assistance. Just like our recent work with Bernie's Book Bank of Lake Forest, your local Goddard School is proud to help out such a great group of folks.

Sponsored by Heartland Bank, all proceeds benefitted the H.U.G.S. And Wishes Program, which grants special wish requests for those with a disability or in need of care. For more information on the great work they do in Shorewood, visit their website at http://shorewoodhugs.org/.
