  • The project was completed under budget and two weeks early, according to Mayor Mike Collins.

The newly improved parking lots provide 186 total spaces, including 30 additional spaces, according to Collins. He also thanked Rod Baker Ford of Plainfield for loaning the village a 2013 Ford Mustang to celebrate the re-opening.

The improvements included the municipal parking lot on Illinois Street and the Plainfield Public Library parking lots on Illinois and Route 59. Read more about the project.
