It was a crisp fall day with plenty of sunshine — the perfect weather for a run.

Just ask the estimated 1,400 people who turned out Sunday for the 14th annual Edward Plainfield Harvest 5K and Kidz Miler. Edward Hospital and Health Sevices Vice President Brian Davis said this year's event was the largest to date.

Runners and walkers turned out to take on the 5K, or in the case of the younger participants, the one-mile kids race. The annual event is hosted by the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
