Plainfield North Named Grand Champs at Music Bowl

Plainfield Central also participated in the Oct. 26 event.

Plainfield North High School's Marching Tigers were named grand champions at the Oct. 26 Marching Mustang Music Bowl at Downers Grove South High School.

The Tigers were among more than 20 high school bands — including fellow District 202 school Plainfield Central — to take part in the 11th annual event.
Bands were judged on music performance, visual performance and general effect music.

The final scores of the music bowl were as follows:

89.40 Morton (Music, Visual, GE) 
87.80 Plainfield North 
84.00 Lincoln-Way Central 
83.50 Lockport Township 
81.00 Victor J. Andrew 
78.70 Glenbrook South 
78.65 Rock Island 
77.30 United Township 
74.80 Plainfield Central 
74.25 Eureka 

In addition to their win at the music bowl, the Marching Tigers recently took third place at the Illinois Marching Band Championship at Illinois State University.
