Plainfield's Ravina Thakkar Hosts Book Signing This Sunday

Plainfield's own Ravina Thakkar will be signing copies of her book, "The Adventure of a Lifetime," from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St.

Ravina, 14, hasn't let her battle with cystic fibrosis slow her down or stop her from fulfilling her dream of being an author. With the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the teen published her first book last month.

Copies of Ravina's book will be available for purchase for $6.99 at the event.
