HOPE, the American Cancer Society uses HOPE as their theme. HOPE has different meanings to people. Some will say, I HOPE I do not get CANCER. While others say I HOPE the CANCER stays away. I am a 2 year survivor; my treatment for breast cancer began in 2009 (bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation) and completed almost 2 years later. The scars are both emotional and physical for myself, my family and my friends. I Relay so HOPEfully in my lifetime no one else has to hear the phrase - YOU HAVE CANCER. Come on out and join the celebration of life or to remember your loved one.

Cathy is right! It is about HOPE! Right now I HOPE the masses just found on my Aunt's lungs are not cancer! I HOPE my family & friends that are survivors can beat their cancer and stay in remission. I HOPE I never have to hear that someone I love has cancer again. I HOPE everyone will come out and show love and support for all of the survivors in our community and remember all those we have lost.
