Candlelight Christmas, Creche Lighting Return to Plainfield Nov. 30

Give small businesses a boost and have some holiday fun at this year's Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce Candlelight Christmas event.

Festivities begin in downtown Plainfield at 2 p.m.

Here's a roundup of what's happening:

• 2pm - Christmas Story at the Plainfield Public Library
• 2:30pm - CW Avery YMCA Dance Ensemble at the Plainfield Public Library
• 3-6pm - Hot Chocolate & Letters to Santa at the Chamber Office Sponsored by Heartland Bank & Trust Company
• 3-6pm - FREE Ornament craft at the Art Cube Studios (Pick up your ticket from the Chamber Office).
• 3-8pm - FREE Pictures with Santa at Gourmet Junction Sponsored by Gourmet Junction & ZonCom Productions
• 4-7pm - Carriage Rides Sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Plainfield, Beacon Financial Planning Services & O'Meagher Farms
• 6:45pm - Service with traditional Christmas songs inside the church, followed by the Creche Lighting outside Plymouth Congregational Church, 24022 W. Lockport Street, Plainfield
