Midwest Brewers Fest - The Breweries Part 2

More breweries have been added to the list of those that will be at the Midwest Brewers Fest on Aug. 27 in Plainfield's Riverfront Park.

The planning for the is shaping up nicely and I cannot begin to tell you how much hard work and dedication has been put into this Aug. 27 fest by volunteers from Plainfield and the surrounding area.

The focus has been about the breweries, their attendance and, most of all, raising money for Plainfield Riverfront Foundation and for another charity, Pints for Prostates.

Pints for Prostates is a charitable foundation that focuses on men's health and draws attention to the importance of regular screenings for prostate cancer. It's an amazing organization and we are extremely thankful to have them as part of the event.

Recently, we have added a few more breweries to those who will be participating in the Riverfront Park fest. I wanted to share with you some of our new additions.

Big Muddy Brewing Company - Located in Murphysboro, it's a staple of craft brewing in Southern Illinois. Just recently, they started distribution in the Northern Illinois area and we are glad to add another Illinois brewery to the list. You can learn more at www.bigmuddybrewing.com.

Chicago Beer Company - Established in 2010. this brewery crafted an image that is truly Chicagoesque. With their Windy City Wheat and Pier Pale Ale, they are a sure to become a staple in the Chicago-area craft beer scene very quickly. You can learn more at www.chicagobeerco.com.

Finch's Beer Company - Beginning their journey into craft beer took place this year and it's one of Chicago's newest craft breweries. They have quickly gained in popularity and we could not be happier to have them at the fest. You can learn more at www.finchbeer.com.

We are really excited about the recent additions and are adding more breweries to the fest list almost daily. I urge you to get your tickets soon as ticket sales are moving quickly and we're only selling 4,000. This is shaping up to be an inaugural event that you do not want to miss.
