JCA April Students of the Month

Joliet Catholic Academy is proud to announce its April Students of the Month.

Joliet Catholic Academy is proud to announce its April Students of the month, Hayley Salata (Joliet Noon Lions Club), Michael O’Neill (Rotary Club of Joliet), and Jack Whalen (Kiwanis Club of Joliet). 

Michael O’Neill is the son of Dawn DeBenedetti. He has earned a cumulative GPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale. Michael has been a member of the National honors Society and the Spanish National Honors Society. Michael has also been a member of JCA’s Volleyball and Cross Country teams. He has been a part of Spanish Club, Varsity Club, and Student Ambassadors. Michael was also named to the 2012 Joliet Herald All-Area Team. After JCA, Michael plans to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish.

Hayley Salata is the daughter of Richard and Kathleen Salata. Her current GPA is a 3.70 on a 4.0 scale. She has been a member of Mu Alpha Theta and the Spanish National Honors Society. Hayley is a member of Girls’ Tennis and Track. She has also been an active member of Student Ambassadors, Work Program, and Relay for Life. After JCA, Hayley plans to attend Millikin or Western Illinois University with a prospective major in Nursing.

Jack Whalen is the son of Dan and Mary Whalen. He is currently a senior at Joliet Catholic Academy and has been a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Math Team, a member of the Football Team, and the Mu Alpha Theta Secretary. After JCA Jack plans on attending the university of San Diego in California.
