My Love for Fabrics!

My love for fabrics and sewing started when I was about 7 years old.   Watching my mom sew and mend fabrics as a child started my passion for sewing. l  I loved watching her make some beautiful out of a piece of fabric.   It was so inventive of her to create with or without patterns and make clothes for herself.  I felt a desire to create with fabric once I saw her make her creations. 

She would take me to the fabric stores with her all the time.  I would look at the fabric and say "What can I make with this?"   Ideas would flood into my mind and my mom would buy me a piece of fabric to encourage me to try to create.  Here I am now sewing window treatments out of my home for 20 years now.  Fabric Bolts around the house are part of our interior design.

I have many memories of shopping at fabric stores with my mom.   As we celebrate her birthday today I still thank her for her creative energeis!

While I sit with her at the nursing home today I will bring some fabric and a needle and thread and ask her if she wants to make something beautiful today. 

I love you mom and thank you for all the things you have taught me in life, especially sewing and creating!
