Baby Boomers Need to Know Some Things About Alzheimer's

As people live longer, the potential of developing the disease or having to help someone who does is growing.

With their parents living longer than ever, the Baby Boom generation is poised to become the generation most affected Alzheimer’s disease. In addition to caring for their parents, every day 10,000 boomers turn age 65 and enter a risk class where one in 10 people will develop Alzheimer’s themselves.

On Jan. 24, you can learn what you need to know about the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.

The Boomer Generation: What You Need to Know About Alzheimer’s Disease will be held from 9 to 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Care Center, 222 N. Hammes Ave., in Joliet. Breakfast and check-in begin at 8:30 a.m.
