Batinick is to Peck as . . .
Tree is to Apple. Here's something I noticed in this last week of campaigning: The bulk of the pro-Batinick mailings stopped using Batinick's name--flat out, stopped. Instead they weren’t directly pro-Batinick, but anti-Mancke, mostly with scary buzz-words. I think they stopped pressing Batinick's name because his name, and his history, is just too entwined with Garrett Peck's. It is a fact that Batinick has for a long time been Peck's political dance partner and it was the two of them who just last year engineered, by hook and by crook, things like the take-over of the Plainfield Park District, and an attempted take-over at the Library board, too. Does anyone else remember the campaign Batinick ran for Cedra Crenshaw four years ago? I do--both the results and how it was "managed". And that list of people who endorse him that Batinick sent around a few days ago? First, that's a great list to keep to remember a bunch of people you should NEVER vote for (not every name there, but a lot!). Secondly, he's misspelled Plainfield Township Clerk Anita Gerardy's name--twice. She doesn't spell it with an "i" at the end! If someone does support you, the least you could do is get their name right!
