Letter: Wheatland Sponsors 2012 Thanksgiving Food Drive

Township will collect items to help feed families in need this Thanksgiving.

In an effort to support families in Wheatland Township, that are experiencing difficulty, we are hosting a Thanksgiving food drive. The food drive will be initiated November 5th and will run through November 16, 2012. We are hoping to provide a full meal to all our participants so they can start out the holiday season with a wonderful holiday meal.

Some of the items we will be collecting are: boxed stuffing, canned yams, boxed mashed potatoes, cans of cranberry sauce, corn or green beans, Heat-n-Serve rolls, turkey gravy/mix or canned olives. Gift cards will also be accepted so that we can purchase pumpkin pies and any additional food stuffs needed for the completion of the meals.

Other drop-off points for the food drive in Wheatland Township are Naperville Firehouse #5 at 2191 Plainfield-Naperville Rd., Firehouse #6 at 2808-103rd St., and Firehouse #10 at 3201-95th St, Midwest Fitness Club at 5019 Ace Lane, Ace Hardware at 5035 Ace Lane and Mark Peters Diamond Design at 12820 Route 59 in Plainfield.
