Mercy for Coyotes

I have 2 coyotes visiting my backyard occasionally  Has anyone noticed that they are starving? Mine are in terrible shape With no natural predators they have overpopulated and if they go after someones dog, you know they are desperate. I would like to hear some officials call for a culling so they can be put out of their misery  There are only so many bunnies to go around  Have mercy  Bobby Adrian

I am pretty sure that coyote hunting is open season in Illinois. All year round. I could be wrong... And the bunny population is way down. When I normally see 2 or 3 in my yard a day, I don't think I've seen but 1 in the last week. Perhaps they're in some kind of hibernation because of the weather.

It's open season in the areas where you are allowed to hunt coyotes. Unless you live in the sticks you can't shoot them in your yard.

Thank the forest preserve culling for this. We never had this problem till they culled the deer. They culled way too much and now nature is unbalanced. This situation is now very scary to walk your animals and yet all these poor things want is to eat. Thanks Will County, you never listen to the people.

Our subdivision has one token squirrel and all the rabbits are gone (they do not hibernate). Coyotes have been spotted during daylight hours when the youngest kids are walking to school. Coyotes have no natural predator here and they are starving. The one I saw in my backyard was skin and bones. They are traveling further inland in search of food and they are becoming less fearful of humans (I live in the Wesmere subdivision, not exactly a forested area). As I am sure budgets would not allow relocation, out of mercy to these animals I would support culling.
