More to share regarding Plainfield Park District board, etc.

So, who else has had a busy 10 or so days since the last Plainfield Park District board meeting?!

To the people who’ve written to me about Plainfield Park District activities:  thank you.  Please bear with me on this slightly klutzy message directly to two of you:

To the person whose anonymous note to me began its second line with the word “were”, I have begun doing what you so smartly suggested, thank you.  To the person whose anonymous note to me had the next to last line of the third paragraph begin with the world “continue”, thank you and I have already collected one key piece of confirming documentation and will try to move the ball forward on that.

Please feel free to continue to reach out to me with whatever appropriate and on point comment or info you choose at Vicky Polito, PO Box 1071, Plainfield, IL 60544.  I completely understand that some of you have chosen and will choose to be anonymous and that is no problem.

Lastly, as usual I have no idea what I’m doing but I seem to be doing it anyway!  I’ve set up an email account for anyone out there wishing to reach me.  As of right now, you can email me at radical4plainfield@gmail.com.  I know, it’s a bit cutesy, but I wanted it to be easy to remember and to use to organize ideas and projects around.  We’ll just give it a try and see how it works.  If you send me an email and ask it to be kept between us, I promise to keep that confidence.  Right out the gate I’ll ask you to specifically let me know if you would be interested in being added to an email list for general info or news from the citizen advocate perspective—and maybe not just on our PPD, but on other local governing groups?  Maybe down the road we can share info on coming elections (candidates and issues, etc.) and perhaps work on a get-registered-get-out-the-vote project?   You can tell me what you’re willing to get info on and what you just don’t want.  Those are just some ideas and I will say up front that I think that at some point of involvement or direct communication, I won’t be able to use totally anonymous contact info.  But, we can all jump off that bridge if we get to it, you know?  And, please continue to watch this space on The Patch for news and more info.  And, of course, feel free to share all of this with your friends and neighbors in the community.  Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to us all.
