Nepotism at its finest!

How many of new Plainfield Park district employees are related to Tic Tac Toe Pete and Peck? Are they trying to keep tabs on the Union activity at the park district? Meanwhile Joel Schumacher still hasn't received a paycheck for before Thanksgiving!!

I've heard that all new hires since May have either been a relative or friend of Hurtado and Peck. And now they'll have a new, though probably less notorious, friend appointed to the Executive Director's job soon. #OnlyTheDishonestGetAheadTheseDays

OUCH, BNB. I don't believe that will happen at all.

I'm sorry Larry. I hope you know that I didn't mean you and Mary when I said "they".

I don't believe there will be a friend of anyone next time we agree to hire an Executive Director. Things have changed somewhat.

I think they've changed quite a bit, but now I'm thinking about the fallout. And who, in their right mind, would want to come in to work with this mess. Hopefully Mr. Coldwater is a good Executive Director with staying power. My heart goes out to the staff at the PTPD. I can't imagine being able to put this aside and continue working day after day.

Ding, ding, ding! You've raised the issue of the day. Who, in their right minds, would come to work for the Park District with such turmoil among the Commissioners? That's why it is imperative that Peter Hurtado step down and we begin the long process of cleaning house and moving forward.

Larry and BNB I totally agree with the above statement about hiring a qualified ED. I have tried to be clear in my public comments that the district will have a hard time attracting quality candidates under the current conditions. I do have faith in Larry, Mary, and the rest of the community to continue to force Hurtado to do the right thing and resign! Pardon the pun but I hope Peter sees the LED light very soon!

Jamey, I call your pun and raise you two more. I don't believe that "light" will dawn on Hurtado. The man has no shame and will probably not resign. The only " light" at the end of our tunnel will be when he's up for re-election and hopefully loses.

Or when an investigation he so happily invited results in an indictment and a pair of silver bracelets.

What ever happened to the "Citizen's Arrest" law?
