Plainfield Fire Protection District Grateful for Burn Camp Donations

The Plainfield Fire Protection District would like to thank everyone for their donations during our recent fundraisers to benefit the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance’s “Camp I Am Me." 

There were collection events held at the Jewel-Osco at 13460 S. Route 59 and also at the Walmart at 12690 S. Route 59. Proceeds from these collection events totaled $3,465. 

Additionally, a car show was held at the Plainfield Fire District Headquarters at 23748 W. 135th Street and donations from the car show totaled $6,034.59.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. 

The Illinois Fire Safety Alliance’s “Camp I Am Me” Burn Camp provides a safe environment for children and teenagers ages 8 to 16 who have experienced significant burn injuries that required hospitalization in Illinois the opportunity to share their experiences while enjoying a camping trip.
