Plainfield Township Still Accepting Scholarship Applications

With a little over a month left until the March 1st application deadline, Plainfield Township is encouraging all eligible high school seniors to apply for two $500 scholarships.

Offered annually, the application period is from January 1st through March 1st of each year. The Scholarship Committee then reads through each submission and selects four to be interviewed. The two winners that are chosen are presented with framed certificates and checks at their respective school's Senior Honors Night.

Eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • Must be a graduating high school senior with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and resident of Plainfield Township.
  • Must submit two letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, local officials, or business people.
  • Must submit official high school transcript.
  • Must submit a cover letter and completed application form by specified deadline.
  • Must plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
Copies of the application can be found at our website:
