POLL: Share Your Ideas for Plainfield Fest 2013

Organizers are already setting their sights on making next year's fest even better.

President Rob Epley called it the saying roughly $75,000 was raised during this year's three-day Plainfield Fest.

But changes could be in the works for the event. According to Epley, organizers hope to eventually move the event out of downtown Plainfield and into Riverfront Park.

And a lot goes into making a fest successful, from the food to the entertainment to the rides and games.

So take our poll and tell us what changes you think should be made — or whether the fest should stay as-is.

The fest needs to get better bands. There are a lot of bands out there that have fans that follow them, and that will get more people to the fest.

Plainfield Fest was great this year. Music is one of the important draw to a fest. When considering next years entertainment maybe just a shout out to the public for some suggestions. I hope the committee has vist several other fest to get some ideas. Surgar Grove just had a great Corn-Boil, Elburn is comming up, Oswego was fun. Just some food for thought.

Shorewood Crossroads Fest this weekend have a band called Kasimir--A Led Zepplin cover band complete with dress/music/lights/sound/stage show that brings you back to the Mid 70"s--These guys ROCK--check them out and comment--We(Plainfield) can do this type of entertainment if this is what the majority wants.

I liked the Bon jovi cover band-- thought it was good. I think the food was really lacking. You could get a pork chop, pizza or a hot dog basically and none were spectacular. We need more vendors-- more choices. Is it too hard for area restaurants to participate? What's the deal? Open it up to outside the immediate area then because the selection was the worst I've seen.

Go to Crossroads fest, great tent, lots of seating, great bands and easy parking. PF fest, the tent area is small, no seating (and we were early) and the band was mediocre at best. But we still had a great time, Food, it would be good to see more of the local restaurants involved.
