Tommy Nevin's Brewery in Plainfield a SCAM and people should know!

My husband and I went this last weekend because it was a friend’s birthday.  We sat at the dining area for food & drinks.  When everyone was done eating, we paid our bills at the table and went to the bar.  Once at the bar, a new waitress came around and we ordered drinks.  My beer at the dining area was $4.15 (extremely high price for a regular, nothing special, beer - but that is not the issue, they can charge what they want) the problem?  She told my husband $5.  So I said “Wait, we were just eating and my beer was $4.15 – why is it now $5?”  She said, “What? That’s what I said $4.15”  My husband and I just looked at each other like WTF?!  She just upped it by $ .85 and then LIED like we misheard her!!  We COULDN’T believe it!  So we gave her a $5 bill, and she said rudely “ok, well do you want the $ .75 back then?”   I said she could just keep the change…lol!  Not only was she trying to scam us to make extra tip money, but she can’t add either!?  Scary!  After she was long gone, I told my husband that I was in complete shock by the fact that she is scamming people like that – it might not be much, but that obviously adds up quickly with every person / every drink she does it to.  She never came back to us, not that we were surprised, so we went to the bar the next time and once again we were told the higher amount!  So, I guess the bar staff all say the higher amount and pocket the difference…WHAT A SCAM!!!!  Needless to say, we stopped spending our money and just stayed a few hours because it was my friend’s birthday, otherwise we would have left immediately.  I would rather spend my money somewhere that is cleaner, has better, nicer & quicker service and above all doesn’t RIP off the customers!  I really feel people should be aware of this!  Either the bar staff is stealing from the customers or the establishment is!!!
