The Plainfield Fire Protection District would like to thank everyone that contributed to the success of the “Camp I Am Me” car show that was held on August 11, 2013. Special thanks to the Southland Street Machines Car Club for organizing and running the car show.
Thanks also to the Cruisin’ Tigers GTO Club, Inc. for their generous donation presented to “Camp I Am Me” during the car show.
And thank you to the businesses and individuals that gave donations for the car show raffle. There were over 200 show cars along with many spectators who came to enjoy the show.
This year’s car show raised $7,230 for “Camp I Am Me.” This is an increase of $1,195.41 over last year’s car show!
The Illinois Fire Safety Alliance’s “Camp I Am Me” Burn Camp provides a safe environment for children and teenagers ages 8 to 16 who have experienced significant burn injuries that required hospitalization in Illinois the opportunity to share their experiences while enjoying a camping trip.
