Community Update

The Plainfield Police Department is nothing more than a money grab and revenue stream for the village. Rather than working on ways to prevent crime by patrolling areas, they would rather have their officers "lie in wait" and issue tickets to fill their coffers. It has nothing whatsoever to do with public safety and their tactics are always in a grey area of the law. Hiding in unincorporated areas and setting up speed traps in areas where the speed limits are less than they should be to begin with. They also have se the fines and costs just below what you would have to pay to hire a lawyer to defend you so it makes more sense just to pay the ticket or go for supervision / traffic school. Our law enforcement in this town is a complete joke.
