Children Critically Hurt in Crash Near Caton Farm Road: Report

No charges had been filed in the crash as of Sunday night.

Two children were seriously hurt in a crash Sunday morning on Grove Road near Caton Farm Road, according to the Herald-News.

The young children were in a minivan heading south on Grove Road at about 10:30 a.m. when it was struck by a pick-up truck at Caton Farm Road. Although police did not return calls from Patch Sunday afternoon, Joliet Police Chief Brian Benton told the Herald-News the driver of the truck "appeared to disregard the stop sign."

Benton described the children's injuries as "life-threatening," saying they were first taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet before being airlifted to Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn. Click here to read the full article.
