Dead Man Under I-55/U.S. 30 Overpass ID'd
Police say the homeless victim, who was living under the overpass and likely hit by a car, was Shawn A. Payer.
The Will County Coroner's Office says the body of a homeless man found under the Interstate 55 overpass at U.S. 30 near Plainfield was 47-year-old Shawn A. Payer, according to the Joliet Herald News.
Police were called by another homeless man, who discovered the body three days before Christmas. Police believe the man was living under the overpass and may been struck by a car, according to a Sun-Times Media Wire story published Dec. 24.
