Back in June, when attorney accompanied columnist Michele "Michael" Sneed to the Will County Adult Detention Facility for a visit with the accused wife-killer, jail records listed the Sun-Times scribe as one of Peterson's "friends."
Now, a mere three months later, it looks like Peterson's going to find out if he walks free or he's prison bound for what will surely be the rest of his life.
So in the event Peterson's sprung and skates on the murder rap, will he and Sneed continue their friendship? How about if he's convicted and goes to the joint? Can he count on Sneed to be a prison pen pal?
Unfortunately, we may never know.
We called Sneed a couple times to ask, but have yet to hear back from her.
It looks like we'll just have to wait and see what happens after the verdict, which may come as early as Wednesday.
Until then, sit tight and keep an eye—or an ear—out for what Sneed is hearing.
