Driver Killed by Wrong-Way Car on I-80 Had Been En Route to Plainfield

The man's Plainfield fiance says he was headed to her house at the time of the crash, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune.

The driver killed in the accident caused by an intoxicated driver going the wrong way on Interstate 80 early Monday morning was headed to his girlfriend's home in , according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.

Jason Wepsiec, 34, of Sauk Village, was one of four people killed in the fiery crash. Three people in the other car were also killed.

“He was just trying to come out and be with me," Kelli Minger, 23, Wepsiec's fiance told the Tribune. “I can’t believe this happened.”
