Fire Causes Minor Damage to House Attic, Officials Say

Lt. Ryan Johnson says the blaze was put out quickly and the house remains habitable.

A small electrical fire caused limited damage to a single-family home late Sunday afternoon, officials said.

The blaze began in the attic of the house at 2402 Von Esch Road, and was quickly knocked out, Lt. Ryan Johnson said Sunday night. Damage was contained to the attic and the house remains habitable, he said.

firefighters got the call shortly after 5 p.m. and were on the scene for about an hour, Ryan said. Three trucks and two ambulances responded to the call as a precaution; the only difficulty encountered was caused by the fire's location in an area of the house with tight access, he said.
