Four Men Charged in Indian Trail, PCHS Burglaries

Plainfield police say the four forced their way into the schools and stole electronic equipment and athletic gear.

Four men have been charged by in connection with the Nov. 27 break-ins to and , from which electronic and athletic equipment were stolen.

The suspects are Eric R. Solner, 20, 23707 W. Lockport St., Plainfield; Nicoli J. Trevino, 19, 1700 Bunker Hill Drive, Joliet; Jacob B. Fugate, 20, 16216 Farmingdale Drive, Plainfield; and Ronald L. Shewmake, 20, 15320 Pratt Lane, Plainfield.

All four have been charged with two counts of burglary, a Class 1 felony, and two counts of criminal damage to property, a Class 2 felony.

The burglary at Indian Trail, 14723 Eastern Ave., was discovered at about 6:30 p.m. Nov. 27 when a school employee checking the building noticed damage to an exterior door and discovered a large amount of , according to a release from Sgt. Kevin McQuaid.

During the course of the investigation, police identified the suspects and were able to link them to a second burglary at Plainfield Central, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive, which was discovered in the early morning hours of Nov. 27.

There was also forced entry in the case and athletic equipment was stolen.

Most of the items stolen have been recovered, but the electronic items were damaged. According to an earlier report, the suspects allegedly threw more than a dozen computers into a pond when they learned they couldn't use them without a password.
