Joliet Man Charged After Breaking Plainfield Bar Window: Police

A 33-year-old Joliet man was charged with criminal damage to property after an alleged fight at a Plainfield bar late Monday, police said.

Matthew Kanzulak, of the 100 block of Saenz, got into an altercation with another patron at Moe Joe's, 24033 W. Lockport St., according to Plainfield police. Sgt. Mike Fisher said during the incident, Kanzulak threw a beer bottle, which broke a window at the bar.

Kanzulak was taken to the Will County jail on a charge of felony criminal damage to property, according to jail records. He was released Tuesday after posting 10 percent of a $7,500 bond.

Fisher described Kanzulak as the aggressor in the alleged fight, but said the other person who was involved declined to file charges.
