Joliet Police Release Photos of Harris Bank Bandit

The Joliet police released images from a surveillance camera.

The cops have yet to catch man who knocked over the BMO Harris Bank on Route 59 Wednesday, but his picture was captured by a surveillance camera.

The Joliet police released surveillance photos of the bank bandit. Police said he is a white man with a goatee. He was wearing wearing a white baseball cap, a black long sleeve shirt and blue jeans when he held up the bank.

The Joliet police ask anyone able to identify the mystery man to call detectives at 815-724-3020.

The crook struck about 11:45 a.m. He walked into the bank, announced he was robbing the place, took money from a teller and left, said Joliet Cmdr. Al Roechner.

The man fled on foot. Police were searching the area around Route 59 and Caton Farm Road Wednesday afternoon and used tracking dogs in their hunt for the fugitive.

The stickup man did not show a weapon and no one was injured in the robbery.
