Kendall Police Seek Convicted Sex Offender

Robert Dodero was convicted of possession of child porn in 2007; his current location is unknown, police said.

Kendall County Sheriff's Police are looking for a convicted sex offender who is accused of failing to register.

Police said Robert Dodero, who is homeless, is required to register weekly with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. He's accused of violating the Illinois Sexual Offender Registration Act, according to police.

Dodero was convicted in 2007 in Cook County of unlawful possession of child pornography, police said. In 2012, he racked up another conviction, this time for failing to register as a sex offender in Kendall County.

Police said the new charges were secured on Nov. 27 after Dodero once again allegedly failed to register. His bond is set at $50,000.

Police are asking anyone with information on Dodero's location to contact the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Section at (630) 553-7500 x1107, or Crimestoppers at (630) 553-5999.

Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
