Motorcyclist Hurt in Plainfield Crash

A woman was reportedly in serious condition following the Saturday afternoon crash.

A female motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a crash on Route 30 near Route 59 Saturday afternoon, according to Plainfield Deputy Fire Chief Jon Stratton.

The woman was on Route 30 heading toward Route 59 when her motorcycle was involved in a collision with a vehicle at around 1:30 p.m., Stratton said.

  • She was taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet in serious condition, according to officials.

    "She sustained some pretty serious injuries," Stratton said.

    Two male occupants of the vehicle declined treatment following the crash, according to Stratton. He said the car sustained heavy front-end damage.

    Plainfield police are investigating the crash.

    Another motorcyclist was hurt Friday afternoon in a crash on Route 126 near Essington Road in Plainfield.
