A Sunday night crash sent six people to area hospitals, but fire officials described their injuries as minor.

Chief Jon Stratton said six people were taken to the hospital for observation after the accident, which was reported shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday.

"It was a T-bone-type accident" involving a family of three in one vehicle and a family of four in the other, Stratton said. One patient refused treatment at the scene, while four were taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital and two went to Rush-Copley in Aurora.
