A 54-year-old man was killed early Tuesday morning after being struck by a car in Crest Hill, police said.

Charles A. Phillips III was attempting to cross the street in the middle of the 900 block of Sak Drive at about 6:25 a.m. when he was hit, Crest Hill Deputy Chief Brad Hertzman said.
