Plainfield Blotter: Car Burglary, Marijuana Arrest

Someone entered an unsecured vehicle in the 22000 block of Lakeland Trail, Plainfield, and stole two GPS units, a men's ring, sunglasses, a case of CDs and 25 children's DVDs, Will County Sheriff's police said.

Jan. 19

Wanakone Voravong, 35, of the 2300 block of White Birch Lane, Joliet, was arrested by Plainfield police at 1:49 p.m. at Fort Beggs and James streets on an in-state warrant and charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to police.

Matthew Ahearn, 18, of the 13000 block of Skyline Drive, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at 9:08 p.m. in the 13000 block of Grill Drive and charged with possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
