Brandon Che Menju, 22, of the 1800 block of Arbor Lane in Crest Hill was arrested by Plainfield police at 9:55 a.m. at Burger King, 11740 S. Route 59, and charged with battery, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, driving without a valid license and operating an uninsured vehicle, police said. Plainfield Sgt. Mike Fisher said Menju, an employee at the restaurant, had failed to show up for a scheduled shift. Police said Menju became upset when he showed up during a non-scheduled time and was told to leave by a manager. According to Fisher, Menju snatched the manager's cell phone from her hand and threw it into a sink full of soapy water before knocking over two containers of iced tea. Menju is also accused of swearing and causing a disturbance before fleeing the restaurant. He was arrested after police performed a traffic stop on his vehicle at 119th Street and Plainfield/Naperville Road, Fisher said.
