Plainfield Blotter: Drugged Driving, Drugs, Domestic Battery

April 25

Melissa Bennett, 35, of the 23000 block of Norman, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police and booked into the Will County jail on charges of domestic battery and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

April 24

Samantha Johnson, 20, of the 4400 block of Wood Duck, Plainfield, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's police and booked into the county jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, police said.

April 21

Jammie Silas, 21, of the 500 block of Cranbrook, Romeoville, was arrested by Plainfield police at 12:34 a.m. at 135th Street and Van Dyke Road on an in-state warrant and charges of possession of 30 grams of cannabis or more, driving on a suspended license and violating a traffic signal, police said.

March 30

Lee Hopper, 36, was arrested by Plainfield police at 12:15 a.m. at 135th Street and Route 59 and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and improper lane use, police said.
