Plainfield East Student Retrieves Cash Thrown from Robber's Car
Man who robbed a Michigan City, Ind., bank launched a police chase in which he threw money out the window along the way; it ended in Kane County.
A student, en route with her traveling volleyball team to a Michigan tournament, helped retrieve money that team members saw blowing along the side of the road on Interstate 294.
In was cash that a desperate bank robber was throwing from his car window as he attempted to elude police in a two-state chase that ended in Elburn in Kane County.
The players gathered up several thousand dollars, which they turned over to a police officer further down the road, according to a report published by ABC-TV (Channel 7).

"We picked up close to $5,000," PEHS student Marissa Villarubia was quoted as saying. "That was in a few minutes. There were 20s everywhere."
