Plainfield Man Admits to Home Invasion After Trespassing Arrest: Police

Quincy Forrester is charged with trespassing in a John Adams Drive garage. Police said he also admitted to entering a woman's home and touching her as she slept.

A man admitted to entering a Plainfield woman's home, creeping into her bedroom and touching her as she slept after being taken into custody on an unrelated trespassing charge, Plainfield police said Wednesday.

Quincy L. Forrester, 23, of 24415 John Adams Drive, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday in connection with a trespassing incident at a home in the 24600 block of Patriot Square Drive.

According to police, a witness spotted Forrester enter the homes's garage on Friday, April 25. The witness reportedly knew Forrester did not live at the home, and called police.

Although Forrester fled on foot, the witness was able to identify him in a photo lineup as the person who entered the garage. The homeowner confirmed that Forrester did not have permission to enter the garage, police said.

Sgt. Kevin McQuaid said Forrester was taken into custody without incident on Tuesday. During an interview with police, Forrester admitted to entering the Patriot Square Drive garage without permission.

He also admitted to entering another home on March 19.

In that incident, a woman in the 24600 block of John Adams Drive — just down the street from Forrester's home — said she woke up at around 4 a.m. and felt someone touching her upper body over her clothes.

Her screams alerted two other residents in the home, and the suspect, at the time described only as a 5'8" to 5'10" male of unknown race wearing a hat, fled the home.

Police believed the man may have entered the home through the garage, which may have been left unlocked.

On Tuesday, Forrester was unable to post his $2,500 bond and was booked into the Will County jail on a charge of criminal trespassing for the April 25 incident.

According to police, additional charges are pending against Forrester in connection with the March 19 incident.
