Plainfield Man Sentenced to 8 Years on Child Porn Charges

Kevin Ullery was accused of having inappropriate relationships with underage boys using online gaming and social networking sites.

A Plainfield man arrested last fall on child porn and sexual exploitation charges was sentenced to eight years in prison Tuesday.

  • Kevin Ullery, 27, of the 23000 block of Feeney Drive, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated possession of child pornography and one count of grooming, according to the Herald NewsHe was sentenced to consecutive four-year terms on the porn charges and a concurrent three-year term on the grooming charge.

    Ullery, who was originally arrested in November 2012, was indicted on 16 counts of aggravated child pornography and sexual exploitation amid accusations that he had inappropriate sexual relationships with “numerous local boys” using an Xbox gaming system and video social networking site ooVoo.

    In exchange for his guilty plea, the additional charges against Ullery were dismissed Tuesday.

    Ullery, who worked at a Bolingbrook electronics store, was arrested following a two-month investigation by the Will County State's Attorney's high-tech crimes unit.
