Plainfield Police Blotter: Purse-Snatching Caught on Video, Cops Say

Nov. 4

Domestic battery

Michael J. Horrell, 39, of the 2200 block of Rossiter Parkway, Plainfield, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's police and booked into the Will County jail on a charge of domestic battery, police said.

Sandy Nunez, 24, of the 2400 block of Joe Adler in Plainfield was arrested by Crest Hill police and taken to the Will County jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of 10-30 grams of cannabis, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving 1-10 mph above the speed limit, police said.

Domestic battery

Andrew P. Janiak, 44, of the 1400 block of Bridgehampton in unincorporated Plainfield was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail on a charge of domestic battery, police said. 

Nov. 2

DUI arrest

Eileen Michelle Clark, 36, of the 7000 block of Oleander in unicorporated Plainfield was arrested by Will County Sheriff's police and booked into the Will County jail on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, police said.

Nov. 1

Burglary charge

Robert A. Tweed, 20, of the 15000 block of South Joliet Street, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police and booked into the Will County jail on a charge of burglary, police said. Sgt. Mike Fisher said the arrest stemmed from an Oct. 23 purse theft at the Plainfield Shell/Circle K station. According to police, a customer at the gas station reported spotting a suspicious-looking man in a vehicle near hers as she filled up her gas tank. She went into the gas station, leaving her purse in the vehicle, and when she returned, the purse was gone, police said. Fisher said surveillance video from the gas station showed Tweed going into the car and taking the purse.

Oct. 7

Theft arrest

Darius Butler, 24, of the 200 block of Beaconridge, Bolingbrook, was arrested by Plainfield police at 3:08 p.m. at a business in the 12600 block of Route 59 and charged with retail theft, polcie said.
