Feb. 15

Ericka Esquinca, 18, of the 2400 block of Keith Street, Joliet, was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing after Plainfield police responded to Plainfield Central High School, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Dr., around 7:50 a.m. Sgt. Mike Fisher said school staff told police that Esquinca, who attends PCHS, reportedly wanted to fight another student. "Deans found out she wanted to fight another girl and she was waiting outside a classroom," Fisher said. "Since she's legally an adult, they asked her to leave." Police were called to the campus after Esquinca refused to leave and swore at the deans and the school resource officer, Fisher said, adding the situation was resolved peacefully — and without the fight Esquinca allegedly planned to have with her classmate. "It was pretty civil and no fight ever occurred," he said.
