Plainfield Police Blotter: Thief Smashes Window, Steals Purse; Arrests for DUI, Cannabis

Frank J. Saunders, 30, of the 14000 block of South Hanford Place, Plainfield, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, disregarding a stop sign and illegal transportation of alcohol, police said. Bond amount was $1,000.

Nov. 25

John J. Marlovits, 40, of the 12000 block of Meadow, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police and taken to the Will County jail on a charge of domestic battery, police said.

Residents at a home in the 23000 block of Deer Chase Lane in Wheatland Township told police they heard a window breaking at about 3 a.m. Upon investigating, the homeowners saw that a landscaping brick had been thrown through a sliding glass door, and someone had stolen a purse that was left in the kitchen area, according to Will County Sheriff's Police.

Keith Wells, 21, of the 24000 block of Joseph Avenue, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at noon in the 24000 block of Joseph Avenue and charged with possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis, according to police.
