Plainfield Police Blotter: Thieves Nab 500-Pound Drill Bit, Drug Arrests and a Baffling Break-In

Break in
Someone broke into a home in the 14000 block of Butler Court, but nothing was missing, according to Will County Sheriff's police.

Someone stole and 8-foot-long by 18-inch drill bit used for drilling holes in utility poles from a Mamolella Hauling, 10S063 Schoger Drive in Wheatland Township. The drill bit, valued at $2,000, weighs about 550 pounds, making the owner believe it took multiple offenders with large equipment to move it, police said.

Someone pumped 18.71 gallons of gas into their car at the Mobil Gas station at 16360 S. Lincoln Highway and drove off without paying, police said.
Nov. 12Drug arrests
Paul Durys, 19, of the 24000 block of Primrose Circle, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at 9:41 a.m. at 143rd Street and Route 59 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to police. Bond amount was $1,500.
Colin Hackman, 18, of the 24000 block of Vermette Road, Plainfield, was also arrested and charge with possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis, according to police. Bond was set at $1,500.
Suspended license
James Grosser, 52, of the 3000 block of Kentshire Circle, Naperville, was arrested by Plainfield police at 3:37 p.m. at 135th Street and Van Dyke Road and charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. Bond amount was $1,500.
Nov. 13Suspended license
Vida Danso, 50, of the 1500 block of Sunflower Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Plainfield police at 7:37 a.m. at 143rd Street and Route 59, police said. Bond amount was $2,000.
Nov. 14No registration, insurance
Antonio Tenorio, 21, of the 14000 block of Hunt Club, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police at 10:02 p.m. at 135th Street and Route 30 and charged with driving with suspended registration/no insurance, police said. Bond amount was $3,000.
